Alexis de Portneuf Sir Laurier d’Arthabaska Cheese
- Size: 170 g
Product Description
Winner in the category of soft surface ripened washed rind cheese at the 2023 World Cheese Awards, the Sir Laurier features a slightly wrinkled, shiny rind of a more or less reddish colour, depending on the ripening stage. This creamy, smooth, light beige cheese becomes even more supple when served at the height of its maturity, and exudes an expansive, penetrating aroma that is both full and clean. Its full-bodied flavour literally melts in your mouth.

Getting Behind the Rind
CHEESE IS OUR LIFE AND IT BEGINS ON THE LAND
It was here in Saint-Raymond de Portneuf in 1842 that young Alexis Cayer settled. The land was perfect for pasture and over the years his family became master cheesemakers. Today, their specialty cheeses win the world’s most prestigious awards. Yet they're still in the same village, because their passion is still rooted in the land.
